Verónica Mojica is a filmmaker based between New York City and Puerto Rico. Originally from San Juan, Verónica is interested in telling stories that transcend borders, illuminating the complexities of femininity, coloniality, and cultural preservation.

‘Sentirse y desaparecer’ or “To Feel & Disappear” (2024) follows the introspective journey of a Puerto Rican diasporic artist as she navigates the vibrant dichotomy between the bustling metropolis of Manhattan and the nostalgic allure of her homeland, Puerto Rico.

Through black and white digital and analog film, the artist addresses questions of belonging, cultural identity, and the ever-shifting notion of “home,” inviting audiences to contemplate the profound complexities of the diasporic experience.
